Another one bites the dust, but those who truly deserve it are spared.

When is IT getting the axe? Biggest bunch of worthless bags. More than a few managers that need shown the door.

That’s absolutely correct. Wpx is just another company Devon bought to keep themselves afloat for a little while longer.

Hey Insider, does that mean they're only sharpening the axe for now?

With JR consolidating his power base, you can bet the wpx folks are going to be sent packing. At least those in DBBU. The good thing is layoffs trigger CIC.

You should trademark that statement and start making T-shirts with 3 little red bars on it…which mean nothing…

If you stand behind the one holding the axe, you’ll never feel it’s bite.

HR is not where the darkness lies. Look to those who have won sudden victories, for they know where the skeletons (or nudes) lie.

HR was axed first so that created staffing issues. They are recruiting HR people and as soon as they establish their norms and 5 year vision they will be prepared to meet and discuss proper procedures for right sizing.
Update your resumes ASAP and be prepared to explain what DVN does for a living.
