How do you know why Buffet did not invest in UP? He never said it was because of issues with management. I don’t like UP leadership either, but just saying things for effect doesn’t make them true.
Buffet took a look a UP and walked away because of the mismanagement. Elon would do the same.

He won't! The UP needs to make major changes in its operations, if it wants to remain competitive. The has been falling behind for a few years now, and it's getting worse. The leadership team would have to be changed out completely with folks that actually know what they're doing. If some of you want to believe that he might buy the UP, then here's something to think about. If Buffett and Gates turned away the UP, then why would Musk buy it?
