Is there anything in the rumor that CEO is to be removed/leaving, due to move to cloud issues, handling of the Russia situation..? Anybody any insights into this or the disruption that would ensue.

He needs to go work for Greenpeace or team up with Greta and scream "HOW DARE YOU" all day. Too focused on green nonsense and not on creating and operating quality software. Gone are the days of SAP leading in Software Engineering, sadly.

Christian Klein is not a seasoned manager. No one knew him until he was suddenly parachuted as “young” CEO. The reason why 40 year old was made CEO has most to do with his father Karl Klein’s CDU politician for St. Leon Rot with Hasso. Family affair really! There is little trust in him and his capability. I agree with most that company is going side ways under incapable leadership and no future vision. Startups doing better than SAP in product vision. Most of managers in flagship RISE programme are incapable “yes sir” lot or picked among golf course rounds at St. Leon .. so, yes Hasso is unhappy and should be he would be lucky to see SAP surviving 75th Birthday!

The announcement of Hasso's extension as board chair was made this week. Nothing wrong with Christian Klien, he is cleaning up the mess left behind by Bill Mddermot, this had to happen at some point to safeguard SAP's long term future. Bill clearly was a showman and there was a lot of things wrong behind the scene, and now all of this coming out. The fact that earnings haven't dropped but accelerated, and the share price has gone sideways means we are going to see one he-l of a rally come around '23/'24...

This week’s Bloomberg article does suggest deep problems with his leadership.

SAP SE
Last 5 years stock price +8%
Last one year stock price -24%
Last 6 months stock price -27%
Last 1 month stock price -8%

Do you think this is good for a high tech company

At this rate, only the C level and top management with their grossly discounted SAP share awards are making money from this company.

It has to be more than CFO answering for this.

It is no wonder if investors asking for more

I'm not the one posting unsubstantiated rumors. If you can't see the difference between what I've posted and what the other colleague posted... well... then I can't help you there.

My recommendation that if someone is going to post "that (Christian) and Saueressig stole work from a colleague who was promised contract renewal. They conspired to steal it and deceive her until after her very last day" they should own it and stand by it. Or, perhaps, post a link to something supporting it. Otherwise, it IS cowardice to post it anonymously.

you come to a website where employees post anonymously (and for good reasons!) and accuse other postings of cowering in anonymity? on top of that, you yourself posted in the same way, that which you call “cowering in anonymity”. Why don’t you share your name? Otherwise get off your high horse! Do you know what is a hypocrite

Also, if you have info to share, please share. Instead of calling others’ info a rumour please share so we know what you know. Otherwise, how do you know it is a rumour? And you accuse others of starting rumours. Do you know what is an accuser

@OP+1ggfxyXr - Where are you hearing this rumour? Or are you the one starting it?

@1gtm+1ggfxyXr - Wow. Slanderous... Good thing you get to cower behind a veil of anonymity....

It is public knowledge that he and Saueressig stole work from a colleague who was promised contract renewal. They conspired to steal it and deceive her until after her very last day.

Meanwhile they presented part of that work at the Dkom 2020, and after he got confronted for credits or even a thank you, they completely went overboard and …
[criminally]

I leave it here for now. SAP should make some hurry to pay the damages that were requested ages ago.

Some kind of significant announcement was supposed to have been made this week, but that did not happen, so it probably has been delayed until next week after the Easter holiday. Not sure what the announcement was related to, but some type of leadership or organizational shuffle is certainly possible. The Board makes many decisions collaboratively, so I wouldn't say that a CEO change would necessarily be too disruptive, but it would depend on the individual and their personality.
