Thread regarding Hy-Vee layoffs

Poor leadership

Poor leadership is Hy-Vee's biggest problem. It's not employees who think of themselves too highly to work at one of our stores, as they'd like us to believe or the lack of customers or whatever they can think of. It's incompetent leadership that only works toward enriching themselves at the cost of everybody else. Everybody needs to work together to make a company thrive. Here, the leaders have positioned us as their opponents, a cost they have to cover (never mind that we do the work that brings in their profit). That's what's wrong with this place today.

That's a complete crock. Hy-Vee's problem is that too many employees are uninterested in the things the company was built and thrived upon, and unwilling to do what's necessary to grow personally and professionally.
