Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

What do you suggest for newcomers to the company?

Leave, or stay (will Citrix backstab early in career)?

Get out as fast as you can.
Citrix is a very ugly pig with lipstick.
Legacy technology over marketed to stay relevant.

No not in my experience. I've been here for 8 years and what I've seen (time and time again) is that they will cut one employee if that employee is paid very well to save the seats of 2 people. It's not a first in, first out environment (or it hasn't been in the past) but rather if you have been at Citrix for 20+ years and you've accumulated a large salary, then you should likely watch out. Personally, I'm sticking around at least until after the merger to see if there really is promising opportunity on the other side. Let everyone else jump ship and stick around to see what happens. If you feel like its a dead end for your personal growth, then leave at that point, but don't just leave out of fear.
