To me it’s mind-boggling for senior leadership to expect loyalty from employees when so many if their decisions show little regard for the impact it has on most employees.
I can only imagine it’s because of their personal experience with Hy-Vee. If I were a young white man, taken under the wing of a Store Manager or Director, mentored and lifted up through the ranks, I’d feel an incredible sense of loyalty. But that’s only been the experience of a select few. It’s as if they don’t realize the privileges they had aren’t the norm.
Instead, they seem resentful when people don’t fall in line. Employees aren’t lemmings that will sacrifice their own self-interest for the benefit of a corporation. Especially when the reward for years of service is a pink slip and only two weeks pay.
Too many people are loyal to nothing these days. Not their jobs, their friends, their families. It's the "me" disease.
Stop letting people who do so little for you control so much of your mind, feelings, and emotions.
Hy-Vee is a business. I get it and profit is what a business is about. But PEOPLE are what make the business. I think that has been forgotten. The customers want service and that has been lacking because of the almighty dollar is the focus. Let’s get back to selling what a grocery store does and not be what we think the customer wants. It really isn’t that hard.
THIS IS WHAT U DO,U ONLY SPEND UR MONEY ON THEIR 99CENT BUTTER OR THEIR 1.48 CHIPS ,IN OTHER WORDS CHERRY PICK THEM AND GO ELSEWHERE FOR UR OTHER SHOPPING,ALDI,WALLY,FAREWAY.Remember,Loyality is only as deep as ur pocketbook.They showed us how loyal they were to u employees when they cut everyone's jobs and PAY..WHAT AN AWEFUL COMPANY.
so you feel disrespected that 100 free in grocies to each employee you won't take it. I been there for year. I need my check but they don't need my nickel back to them
Because Hy-Vee isn’t loyal to the people anymore. Not to customers and not to employees.
I wouldn’t spend a dime in any of their stores
I just work there for my money that I will spend elsewhere
