These are just rumors. BBBY is a very strong company, despite recent hiccups. Just look at how well MT is compensated. You don’t get that kind of compensation without running a great company. We just need all employees to be as good as MT.

The message was sent after the August 2020 layoffs, the company doesn't need to do anymore as most of the full-timers who weren't laid off at that time straight up just found other jobs from then till now. Expedited store closings seem the likelier bet here with this company barely affording any leases at this point like the previous poster mentioned. Though the outlook looks extremely bleak right now so something even more than that won't surprise me.

Likely more store closings coming. Leases are not being renewed.

My entire district is in the red on a daily basis and has been for a long time. Massive layoffs maybe or maybe not but I can’t see running thousands in the whole constantly and there not being some sort of consequences.

all hourly employees will be laid off. only store managers will stay on to process freight, move some product around 4 or 5 different times and break the bad news to the occasional customer who is looking for a my pillow.
