Thread regarding Hy-Vee layoffs

Director position cut

I heard that Randy’s next goal is to stop paying store director huge salaries. He thinks they are all over paid. Stores aren’t performers up to his goal so why does he need to pay them so much money. I’m sure the high paying director days are coming to an end soon. Really not need for store director when all the decisions come from Corporate. The days of having employees work 20 or 30 years are over at HyVee. The next store director meeting we need to vote Randy out before he takes us all out. It’s what’s best for the company and us.

Randy did bring a decent bonus program but he has control to change goals at anytime. Soon noone will score over 80 on audit but you all met 2 of 3 goals after working 7 days a week for this guy. End result no soup for you. You work hard thanks for paying my wine cellar or new TV in basement or next great idea I have. It's all about him not hyvee or us. How many times do I need repeat it. Man has ego size of Texas or jealousy of heb all the same.

Hyvee copied enron's accounting systems. One huge prymaid scheme and Rome is ready to fall. No money to payback the last guy that bought into there scheme. Just sit back and watch. Maybe we should buy the royals or at least the stadium.

The biggest stakeholder is the hv 401k fund. Guess who pretty much has control over those votes?

Hy-Vee is set up to concentrate power in one individual, who then appoints people who owe their very livelihood to him and him alone. Who do you think picks all the people on the board of directors? Who brought retired stockholders onto the board? And not just any retired stockholders -- ones who were most loyal to him. Who do you think is selectively paying out retired or departed stockholders according to his own whims and preferences? It's a corrupt system. All we can do is marshall opposition at the annual meeting in December (don't sign your proxy -- vote your own shares), but even that is an uphill battle, because he ensures that the biggest stockholders are the ones on his team.

So, you’re telling me there’s a chance. All it takes is one of them to be ambitious and to start having this conversation. The board just needs to take control of HyVee before Randy destroys it. Let’s not forget Randy doesn’t accept excuses but Randy himself has excuses why HyVee is In the red . The board needs to hold Randy accountable for his failures. The board might be buddies with him but if randy continues we might have a board after they go bankrupt. Please start this discussion with the board members

Good luck with that. It would take the Board of Directors not the store directors to vote him out. Unfortunately they are his inner circle yes men.

Trust me he can be voted out. You just have to get the right people to get the ball rolling. I agree it’s more that just the director taking a vote. Since you know so much about HyVee how would you get Randy out of the company?

I agree he sucks, but thinking he can just be voted out at a directors meeting makes it pretty clear you are not a director.
