I haven’t noticed that Citrix has any effective retention plan, and even though the talent is bleeding I don't think it will have it in the future either. That's a little weird. Since they don't care about the capable and talented, I'm wondering what is the vision of the leadership for the future of this company?

Zero and zero here as well this year. Last year 2% and negligible RSUs. Won't stay long, interviewing like crazy.
You did a lot better then most. I got no raise and no RSUs. I have always gotten rave reviews and in the past 3+% raised every year plus 75+K RSUs vesting over 3 years. I am on a core provisioning team as well, not a team I thought they would want to lose people in.
if that helps... in march I got a 6% raise and around $12K in RSUs that will all vest in 1 year... pretty lame retention bonus.
Both get laid off but they will hire more jr engineers soon after.
Are the more senior or more junior engineers prone to getting fired?
Questions about leadership and their visions are pointless. Citrix split up into ELT and everyone else. ELT is busy filling up on any stocks they can get a hold of and putting out delusional PR from time to time (best place to work given latest employee survey results, really?). Everyone else are doing minimum necessary work for ongoing operations and planning for new jobs. Neither side paying much attention to the other, just going about their business
Heard of a single person getting a retention. Amounts to be less than $25k for one year and nothing beyond that. Everyone around him is bailing ship.
So think about it. Why would anyone stay for a year with the team crumbling around him just to net around $10-12k?
ELT are totally clueless on how to retain people.
Well the ELT is out with their golden parachutes after the acquisition so I doubt they really care.
