If your store is not union, how can you get a union to come out and try to convert your store to be part of a union? I hope that makes sense. Im not sure how it works but I’ve heard unions are good for employees when the company they work for tries to bully them.

And be very careful who you talk to. I was at a non union store and every new hire had to watch an anti-union video and sign off on it. make sure you haven't signed anything that says you won't talk to a union. They can be good and bad. notnsure it's worth the hassle for a job at macys.
@2zxc. Some unions and locals are better than others. You got one of the bad ones.
Unions are in it for themselves. Forget that. $
Getting a union is a ton of hard work and will take quite a while. Probably a year or more. If you're one of the organizers you're going to have to speak to people off site and off work. I was on an organizing committee for a previous employer. In the end, the UFCW didn't let everyone vote on the contract. Didn't sign a union card...no vote. We didn't even get to see the contract before voting.
Depends on the union and the union local. Some are better than others.
If the company is not treating you fairly, and not respecting you as a colleague, your best move would be find another company that does! Don’t let someone or something else dictate ur life. You, yourself have the power to better ur out come in life…..
