Thread regarding VMware layoffs

What is Broadcoms parental leave policy?

This could directly impact me depending on when the deal closes

Lol 0 parental leave for dads…that cannot be right?! VMware had the greatest Ive ever heard of at 18 weeks, sad that will not be an option

surprised at the reactions here... i can see this could be a very important question to some of the parents-to-be, there is nothing wrong to plan ahead for big things in life, such as having a baby. and in terms of policy itself, 8 weeks vs 18 weeks is quite different.
someone needs to grow up indeed in this thread to learn how to be sympathetic and respectful!

When you become a parent, you leave. In a few weeks, you come back

That was a very unnecessary response and you need to grow up. Sorry I don't know the answer but I hope someone who is much more mature will respond for you.

Don’t ask an anonymous chat board, ask your manager.

Stop panicking and grow up. This isn’t reality tv.
