I am stressed out but not angry or upset. It'll work out no matter what. I dislike uncertainty and I just hope things settle down quickly.

What’s the rush? Wait until we know more. Get your cv updated, start your own plan, and take control of your own future when you are ready.
How do I feel? Sick to my stomach. And my advice to anyone who isn't a senior engineer working on a profitable product? Time to get out. Broadcom appears to be more of a liquidator where everything and everyone is cut. They decimated both of the other companies they bought and I fail to see why they would treat VMware differently.
