Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Good place to get context...

last year in November the Broadcom Software Group did an investor day call. Clearly describing their business model. it's in their Investor Telations link. listen and draw your own conclusions.

im sorry we acquired you guys and have to go thru this cr-p. i went through the same at CA, financially awesome but environment toxic.

I can think of other teams with decent chances like Professional Services and Support.
Nothing guaranteed for anyone, anywhere, at anytime. Some may even arrive and replace BSG folks.

This seems to be very true. Dev and sales stay and enjoy Broadcom amazing culture. Everyone else time to check your options ; ) . Gosh so sad . I just joined to company and started to enjoy it …

Check slide 13.
Reading between the lines:

  1. Rely on existing SnS to make money
  2. Ki-l unnecessary products with better competitors
  3. Slim down the sales team and max out their quotas
  4. Layoff everyone but devs and sales
