Coordinated resistance, even if it fails, is better than sitting like a deer in the headlights waiting to be run over. Organize, make yourself heard, do things that are protected but that corporations hate (salary discussions, start a union drive) but are protected actions so you have grounds for an NLRB action if you are let got. If you want a different suitor get a bunch of big customers like GE at one point could have done it. They have typically invested in companies that they purchase s/w from to ensure stability in what they’ve purchased.
I don’t think GE can do it now, but get 8 or 10 companies who can spare some change and have them all outbid Broadcom. Get big and loyal customers that have been around since the early 2000s. There are many. I”m sure they don’t want their infrastructure to go down the tubes.
