Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Can someone from broadcom explain what a "work from home contract" is?

A number of people have said they work from home/full remote with Broadcom, among others who have stated WFH doesn't happen. I am not sure what to believe, but some have brought up WFH contracts and if this is true, what does that even mean?

Depend on the job function and your value. You can WFH and even work from other country. It is up to your VP to back you up or not.

I've heard the same thing from a friend who works from home at Broadcom. There are employees working from home and no special contract is needed.

I’ve WFH for Broadcom for over 5 years. And yes, there is an office within 50 miles.

I’ve never heard of a WFH contract at Broadcom.
