WFH / Cut-Off for Remote Work

I'm seeing a lot of talk about 50 miles being the cut-off for remote work, is that a hard limit?

I'm in NJ and the closest office to my home is in Mellville NY at a touch under 50 miles, but in NY metro traffic that's a greater than 2 hour drive.

Would I be expected to commute 4 hours each day?

Stop with the BS. 5+ years with Broadcom, never been to an office. And yes there is an office within 50 miles from me.

Stop believing BS on an anonymous Internet forum.

You guys are putting yourselves in front of every internet troll out there.

50 miles as the crow flies—not 50 miles driving. For example, if you live in conn, guess what… I hope you like driving to Melville. If you live anywhere in flyover country you will most likely be listed as fully remote. If you live in the hubs, you are SOL.

Broadcom will solve this for you. No work from home.
