Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Is there ANY way this acquisition can still be stopped?

Broadcom wanted to buy Qualcomm but that never happened. What are the chances something similar can happen here? I know I'm grasping at straws, but can you blame me?

Everyone stages a walk out. That will get their attention. A day without a real vmware employee. 😱

Zero chance the FTC will stop this

best best is for someone like goog or nvda to get fomo and makes a bid - which is also next to zero chance

Qualcomm was a different story. Broadcom HQ was in Singapore at the time. It was stopped (By Trump) for national security concern because it meant that An overseas company is buying a US critical company.

Broadcom since then moved HQ back to US also under Trump's blessing.
