To be perfectly honest, the only thing that is keeping me at this company is the thought that there will be advancement opportunities as there is a lot of attrition in lower management tier.
Turns out that that is not the case. Instead of promoting from within the employee ranks the company seems to have adopted the model to bring in outsiders or people form other parts of the company to fill the vacant positions. I think this was the last straw and the final confirmation to me that I should be leaving the company soon.

I have also seen many internal promotion moves. Hopefully a sign of more to come.
Don't mention engineering in the same list as TAMs it is a lot easier to get a TAM than to get a PM or Engineering role not matter what part of the company you are moving from internally.
Not seeing that in Eng. All internal as we can’t hire. Comp is well below no name companies right now. FYI Vista openly states they have an army of companies and will move people around to areas of need. Once we close I do expect there will be Vista portfolio people filling a lot of the gaps where they see fit.
OP, what area of the company are you on?
I strongly disagree, I have seen a dozens and dozens of internal promotions (PM, ENG, TAMs ...)
