Thread regarding VMware layoffs

If you see an opportunity, leave

There's nothing to lose and a lot to gain. Let's face it, VMware is not a good place to work even without the whole Broadcom drama. I don't know one person who left and then said they regretted it. I think you shouldn't wait to see what happens but start looking for ways out right now. It's certainly easier to find a job when you already have one.

@zce+1gVU5Eha, I would like to hear more about that. Many of those hyper-scalers and other companies seem to hold the promise of greener pastures, but am interested to hear details if that is not the case. Many VMW employees will be looking at those companies over the next year, so would benefit from any additional info they can get.

I was going to say, what place is good to work at if not at VMware. It’s not all roses here but I hear things about other places that are horrible.

Clearly not a hiring manager. We have so many people who have left reapplying, more than ever. Coming back from Google, Microsoft, AWS and more. And this is 1000% accurate. Ask any hiring manager.
