I don’t see anything positive in this Broadcom acquisition for now. To me it's the worst news ever! Perhaps someone is more optimistic that all this won't be gloom and doom for the company?

With regards to the below concerns Is it that likely that they would lay off PS Consultants / Ps Engineers?
Do they not need people to work with customers to design and install solutions or is it literally here’s your licence key, good luck…. I can’t see it being like the latter? Maybe I’m just naive, but I guess what I’m saying is I’d be more worried if I was in a position with obvious overlap, at least you’re in a revenue generating one.
Yeah, if you make it through you will most likely make more money than you were making before—sometimes 2-3x w/ the RSUs.
If you're good you may be lucky. Broadcom is a company where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
Your current perspective is being the part. PS can have a great contribution to create the whole.
Listen to what they propose.
I have seen people disapointed, but no one that has really lost money. Maybe some confidence in the self, but that's life.
Likewise. Have been at VMware for less than a year now and absolutely love it. Awesome team and culture. Joined VMware from a company that got rid of Symantec after Broadcom bought them and the already bad support got even worse and no one seemed to know about the product anymore. They also recently let Carbon Black expire since the VMW acquisition changed the feel/tempo of that company/product too. My old boss texted me after the news broke saying "see we did make the right choice!". I've already spoken to numerous customers concerning this news and haven't heard one yet that sees this as a good thing. It seems likely this will cause numerous current customers to leave. I've already heard of at least one potential new customer that ceased their proof of concept once the rumor was released since they wanted nothing to do with Broadcom.
No, I agree with you. I’ve not worked here long but I genuinely really enjoy my job in professional services. Not that that would necessarily chime with the sentiment here in the past but whatever, I like(d) it.
I fear for the future, the impending cutbacks, gutting of the company it will be a real shame. The margins for PS may not be appealing so I’d guess I’ll be shown the door.
