"neo-capitalism".

I think you just meant capitalism. Everyone making excuses and new words for the idea that businesses want return to the shareholder instead of returns to the working/labor class. That's just how capitalism is supposed to work. This is capitalism working as intended, not some broken version of it.

The labor class actually owning or receiving the share of the fruits of those laborers? Those are all the evil, scary, bad other 'isms' they make sure to try to scare you away from (and send the CIA to make sure they also don't work in Latin America so we can show you great examples of how you totally would never want that).

Now shut up and get back to your office if you expect any of this sweet sweet trickle down. It's coming soon if the bosses just didn't have to pay all these evil taxes.

Sad to hear things haven’t changed. I took the Package a couple years ago after working at NOV more years than you will believe. I was there during the Good Times, Bad Times, Many times…I Helped keep it alive during bad times of the industry. We worked hard, we had good ideas that management listened to. Shop floor saved NOV many times. Management appreciated back then and made an effort to keep the people that were keeping the company going and rewarded them. I remember getting a big raise during bad times because they knew a few were the ones making a difference and did not want to lose us. Shop floor guys saved the company During bad times, many times. My last few years there were torture because management was so damn stupid!
I check in to this site once in a while just to see what’s going on. it’s so sad to hear management is still so damn stupid! I don’t understand how management doesn’t just say, “I suck at what I do and I’m hurting other people”
Then walk away and let somebody that cares, has good listening skills, be in charge. But that would mean they would be people of integrity and some intelligence. What I saw my last few years tell me they weren’t those kind of people.

NOV is a perfect sample space representation of Neo-Capitalism. The system creates 1Billionaire every 30 hours while pushing 1 million people to the brink of poverty. NOV nurtured the same culture to self promote and raise the pay scale for the top tiers. Laid off bottom most out of self interest in the name of "cost cutting". The current bottom layer of talented-long-loyal-employees are working their butts off covering all work loads. Why? Because they can't risk their jobs as they have to feed their families amidst raising inflation and market uncertainties. Or, they stayed too long to be hired by any other industries (institutionalized). This had been the case since 2014.

On the grander scale, the CEO is still stuck in the hope of O&G market bouncing back, while the stake holders and customers have already moved on to Alternatives. CFO just smudges the books to benefit their people with perks & raises against operating costs. They don't produce any ROI to the company. Performance base promotion, raise, bonus is all BS. It's time for NOV to be open about all the compensations across the board.

O&G is as dead as Dinosaurs (pun intended).

Got laid off from NOV in 2020, found a new job end of 2020 making 30% more. Since then I made full bonus and got an annual raise. If you sit at NOV expecting more, you are only hurting yourself. Oh, but work hard because I still hold shares that were $34 so I am counting on the management team to break your back to meet my numbers

That 5 dollars less is per hour.
Do the math and think about your own wages being robbed and ra--d by this company. A company that thinks feeding you burgers and pancakes makes it all better.
A truly twisted and toxic environment

You can bend yourself backwards for a raise but you stand no chance if your not part of the good ol' clique.

NOV is all about the management team and they are generally safe from cuts. In their eyes, worker bees are replaceable.
