Nobody knows what's going to happen yet. There might be huge layoffs but it's not written in stone yet. You're stressing over something that hasn't been determined yet and you're making others join you in your misery. How about we wait and see what will happen before prophesizing doom and gloom?

Dude, I'm going to tell you something that will be hard to swallow. No one cares about your job, your work, or what you like to do. Papa Hock cares about profit margin, and like a orca to a baby seal learning to swim, you will get eaten if you don't deliver. No one in marketing no matter how good you are will make it. if you are in sales or customer facing, lists will be made. Engineering will be broken out between those that deliver and those that don't. this will happen across the board. we are a lean, mean, profit driving machine. The Devil is coming and he brings a sh-t ton of RSUs. You just have to ask if you are ready to stomach it.
I think people are rational. Hock Tan has a history of acquisitions and he follows the same pattern after the acquisition. People want to understand that patter so they can: a) sleep better at night. b) be prepared and be in control (as much as they can - e.g., get the resume ready, start reaching out to the network, etc.)
