Thread regarding National Oilwell Varco Inc. layoffs

No one has regretted leaving

I have yet to hear that someone has regretted leaving poorly managed NOV.

Do you know anyone who has?

Even those who left and accepted a slightly lower pay have meanwhile been promoted and are now doing much better than they did here.

  1. 5 years spent at NOV. Zero regrets leaving. Instant large pay increase when I went to another company. If you're a true worker leave. If you're a leach continue to draw a check.......

Leave as soon as you can! It took me many years to give in, but there are lots of jobs, with much better pay, improved benefits and far greater business culture! I feel sorry for the few good men / women who remain still trying to make a positive impact.

24 years with NOV gotta say the last few were darn difficult ones, I used to love my job until poor decisions and even poorer management drove my decision to get out and start afresh. Tragic that such a great company as was is becoming a laughing stock in the General scope of thinking

I do not see any reason why anybody would regret leaving this dog dung company…
I also do see why anybody would want to work here.
Management stinks!
Nothing good!!
Toxic environment!

Twenty years at NOV. Have learned more, grown more, been invested in more by my new job and managers in the last year than I had my entire career at NOV. Get out before you're too old and untrainable and realize you wasted a career at a place like NOV.

Only problem with leaving is I realized I was a d-mb a-s for not leaving years ago.
