I am a current employee fairly new and just came back after layoff . I have worked many jobs in my day and they all have thier issues but the incentives are still better here than anywhere else. Yes, Boeing is NOT what it once was before McDonnell Douglas F***ed it all up. NOW it is extreamly political, managment is not the best, and they seem to hire people who don't have any mechanical knowledge yes I wish it would change, but all you can do is worry about yourself. Its not just Boeing but the whole country has lost it's morals and greed, and narcissism has taken over everything. Bottom line Boeing has more perks Han most jobs and our country has gone to sh-t not just Boeing. make the best out of the things you can.

Boeing is always hiring and always Laying off. If you want a steady job look elsewhere then Boeing. The longer you work there the more likely you are to be laid off. Most employees realize this now.

Yeah and a couple Starliner reaction control jets already failed and they were lucky to make the correct orbit.

Watching that Starliner launch was like watching an old 1960s Apollo launch. Like a 100 people manually looking at data, making decisions and calling go or no go. Such an obsolete approach compared to the fully autonomous, computer monitored, streamlined and efficient SpaceX approach.

Boeing is desperate to hire anyone they can:

Problem is that it is too little too late. Increasing labor cost at a time when you are deep in debt and hiring inexperienced people when you already lack and really need highly experienced people makes little sense.

Desperately selling airplanes at deep discounts to save 737Max face and market share also makes little sense. Positive net profit and cash capital is needed for developing the modern airplanes and other products Boeing lacks.

But little sense and big talk is what this new Boeing has always been about. I expect the next big layoff will be whenever Boeing finally throws in the towel and declares bankruptcy.

Lol warn notices might hit some small corporate spaces but Boeing is doing mostly frantic hiring everywhere else. What a silly post.

Most employees of the Lazy Incompetent B will struggle to find work because other employers won't let you text all day, come in late, leave early, take long lunches, drink in the parking at lunch, leave little Tequila bottles strewn around the work area, surf the web all day etc etc Also having Boeing on your resume is a big red mark because of the extreme gross incompetence, the rotten toxic culture and the never ending list of Boeing failures that the world has been exposed to for the past few years. Good Luck.

Don’t think most of the employees are ready for the reality of only building 1 or 2 737 max airplanes a month due to lack of orders. When airbus ramps up their production to 75 a month that will the reality. Hard times coming for Boeing.
