Does Cummins pay well?

All the posts here suggest that Cummins does not care about employees but does it pay well? Why do people work here?

Total Comp is important. Also job stability.

I am getting paid better than my brother who works in a similar job for a competitor. Not by much though.

People also stay because they have so many years in 20 years that they are close to retirement and don't want to sc--w it up for one. The other is that this place is being used (especailly in Southern indiana) as a way to subsidize family who need a job and/or need that extra income while they farm. That is one big reason you see so many people from exempt to hourly who have family or multiple family working there.

Cummins strategy is to be an average payer and they also believe heavily in hire to develop. At higher levels there is a significant amount of variable compensation in your package. People stay for many reasons sometimes location, sometimes their BU/site/team is good.
