Nice click bait. The article clearly says they didn't "dump it from their fleet" , just that they only confirmed 78 of the forecasted 181 deliveries through 2024. They're still buying and taking deliveries, just not as many as predicted. My guess is they're either dragging their feet to get a better deal, boosting production of their own C919, or repositioning to get into the Airbus order skyline. It's probably why Boeing is holding production of the 737 at rate 31 for the duration of the year. In any case, it signals (justified) distrust in Boeing products, pricing, and their ability to deliver a product that doesn't require a bunch of rework as soon as it's put into service.
