It's a good thing I refused a job offer ten months ago and decided to stay at Qualcomm. The startup that made the offer just laid off nearly half of its employees. The main reason I refused was that I was afraid of losing my seniority in case of layoffs. If I had left, it's a guarantee I'd now be without a job (and proper severance!) Don't rush, folks. I know this place is far from ideal, but make sure to consider all angles before you decide to leave.

Being a worker drone at Qualcomm for almost 15 years made my brain rot. Something I didn’t find out until I didn’t get the better job I wanted away from Qualcomm…
