I remember coming to work and putting my mind in sales mode.. I worked in a commission area . I would open at least 3 Macys high percent cards a shift.. had managers come by and bribe with Macys money to open more. or sign up people to anything.. I was wondering does anyone feel that way any more? I do not .. commission gone i could careless to open a macys card ever again

So.......you're only willing to do your job if youre bribed , ie comission. Clearly you should have opened your eyes and moved on from retail years ago.
There's no motivation. I really don't care anymore. They thing that by throwing us a few dollars with the growth incentive will keeps us happy while they get millions in bonuses. DON'T THINK SO
We don’t even get Macys money anymore. Macys act like Macys money is real money 🙄. We had good managers in the past who would give us $15-25 Macys money when we did hard work or get complimented by customers or open a lot of credits. Now nothing, you get $5 the most if any. Even the credit game cards have decreased used to be $3 now they have given us a measly $2 off $4 and decreased the cash too. So cheap. Hey
I get $2.00 per application in commission. That’s a good enough incentive for me to do it. By the way, I never understood anyone who said “they can’t do it because they feel bad for opening up cards to unknowing customers ie, APR” I say, suck it up. It’s not your job to worry about or feel bad for a customer they have the option alone to open a card or not. Just do your job and let the customer worry about their own financial affairs.
