Thread regarding Lenovo layoffs

What a mess

Wow this company feels so disorganized with no governance in place.. I recently joined and I am questioning my decision. Anyone feels this way?

I blame our recruitment process. You two should leave at the first opportunity. Your not suited to a growing company.

I blame the tone-deaf, corporate clowns who think ignoring massive cultural problems and talking up spreadsheet figures fosters a healthy work environment.

Your [sic] not suited to a growing company

It doesn't matter how well the company is doing if you're being worked to death, underpaid, bullied, and only see management's favorites recognized and promoted - most of whom don't deserve it at all.

It's a popularity contest among politicians. Quality work is not rewarded. The loudest voices are. Doesn't matter if you're wrong if you can throw someone else under the bus and sc--w them over - you still win. This is "The Lenovo Way"

The company may be 'growing', but they quality of treatment of its employees is stuck in the 1960s - or even earlier.

That's the very same thing I noticed when I joined. No real process in place, everyone always in panic mode, going too fast, plans not fully thought out.

When things don't work out - excuses and buck-passing to avoid any real responsibility.

When things go well, people that had little or nothing to do with the project clamor for credit.

I'd start the job search up again, if I were you.
