Thread regarding GE Power layoffs

I'd like to know when we can expect more cuts

There are lots of rumors but nobody knows anything concrete.

Big cuts are coming to Schenectady Campus regardless of the info our union and management are saying here. There is no way there won’t be a job elimination in 273 very soon.

2ovlf+1gJzuaBr this is how it goes? All power pensions follow Vernova. Then GE files with the government it’s impossible for Vernova to meet their pension obligation/responsibilities since Verona’s assets (purposely set up this way) are lower compared the their pension payables. In other words just a strategy to dump pension obligation (and incomes to thousands of workers) so the government, GE’s momma and daddy, picks up GE’s responsibility because the child made terrible business decisions?

Vernova will not have a Schenectady presence is what I have heard in NYC, in certain...places....
Pensions from Power will be shifted to Vernova and therefore will be reduced or eliminated completely. Vernova will be sold to either Siemens or Toshiba. Sorry. I wish all of you who have spent your lives there the best, but this is the truth.

I'd imagine soon. Management needs money to pay for the new signs.

Q4 22 would be my guess, the way the economy is though, it may be sooner.
