I’m not saying there aren’t many talented employees here still or that Shell has become a mediocrity company. It just seems to me that everything is slowly moving towards that and I really wouldn’t like that to happen. How much will the talent and knowledge be valued here in 5-6 years?

One guy in our team got a 0.7, he does more work than most and really supports the group. Our supervisor didn’t get along with him, I have no idea how he justified giving him a 0.7, but he got a new job (right away) and is leaving at a critical time, and the team is really nervous as he carried a bunch of people... he didn’t even think twice about leaving, he was very pi$$ed off, never saw him like that. But I don’t blame him. When you give an employee a 0.7, I assume that means you’re getting laid of anyway. This company is losing a lot of talent while we’re offshoring critical work that fewer and fewer people know how to correct...
Well they did that to themselves. 70% of people get a 1.0 IPF. Managers have to pick one person to get the 0.7. A very small handful get 1.3 or 2.0, and they are usually the suckups. If you can't differentiate, no incentive to be anything but mediocre.
Very well stated

The stupidity of this comment proves otherwise .....

Amazing isn’t it?
