I guess if the company after three months hasn’t hired anyone new to replace the colleague who left, it doesn’t even intend to do so? Any thoughts?
A colleague who left did a huge amount of work and now, of course, those of us who are still here have been doing all that work for months.

There is a hiring freeze now
While many people have to do lots of real work, we also have many people who talk a lot, and pretend to be doing lots of work too. The most unfair thing is that these talking people get faster promotions and more salary raises.
You're still be asked why it's taking so long to finish your work.
