I am satisfied with pay but I am no longer sure if it is worth it since it seems impossible to have a work life balance here. There are very high expectations from employees. Long hours at some point become depressing and it does not surprise me at all that more and more colleagues are leaving.

Poor decisions by upper-management = long hours by the commoners. Take ADT: They let TSS get old and obsolete. No new features ever added. Then the ADT contract is on the line. Then crazy schedule to get the ADT contract. Everyone forced to work insane hours.
And when things get really tough, the PM says, "I'm disappointed in the team". FYou.

Sounds like you need to learn how to work smarter if you’re “working” long hours. Maybe less time on thelayoff and Facebook? Or how about you find a nice hourly job at Walmart instead? I’m sure it will be less challenging and that is what you probably need.
This company is notorious for poor planning, bad scoping, and poor staffing. Then managers expect people that actually work to pay the price. Simply refuse. When you are done for the day, say you are done.
