Safety Day

I don't know about you but Safety Day is becoming a joke.

safety day always was a joke! My manager and his boss always preached safety, but when it came down to doing it properly,
speeding up the job completion, calling in people for overtime,
waiting for weather to improve, etc. it was always about costs, and safety was nothing more than a suggestion.

With only 2 full downstream assets left in US, the event and celebration seems silly... Its different when Shell had 50 refineries worldwide...

It always was. Complete waste of time. Makes all the overhead staff in the offices feel good though. Very few of them understand the work environment in a production facility or on a construction site.

It's a huge waste of everyone's time. Nobody cares and it hasn't saved one life.

Check the box exercise, be thankful that it’s done for another year.
