Thread regarding Disney layoffs

Looking forward to earnings

Everybody is expecting bad news, but I think a lot of people will be surprised. Not to mention, the ESP forecast is significantly higher than a year ago, so it's obvious some things are going the right way. Disney might have hit a rough patch but things are about to improve.

Disney Parks and Resorts might get newcomers for one time only, and the poor su---r DVC members when they use their points. Otherwise, very few people will renew annual passes or come back for another visit after going to the parks. The quality of the "show" is disgusting, the cast members look like they don't care about anything (but talking to each other), and it is just not the happiest place on earth anymore.

I live in Florida in a large community near Disney. Lots of conservatives that will not renew annual passes or take kids to WDWR until Disney gets things more balanced. Lots of other options!

I think the rough patch may last for a while, but that Disney will bounce back.

China will not stay closed forever, and angered conservatives will not stay away forever (look at the NFL). I do think that if they replaced Chapek they may be able to bring conservatives back in the fold sooner.
