Almost everyone is looking for better options. I wonder though if there is anyone who actually wants to keep their job here? Everyone has their own story and I have my own reasons why I would like to keep my job here as long as possible. But it seems to me that there is no guarantee that great performance and hard work ensure that even a bit?

Optum is no better or worse than what is out there. Micromanagement, RIF's, telling you they care all the while pushing you to the brink. The grass is not always greener.

There are many people that want to keep their jobs because their skills are tied to antiquated technology and would be hard pressed to find a similar opportunity elsewhere. For everyone else I hope they're just waiting for the right moment to leave. Getting strung along year after year with a 1-2% increase while record profits are posted is laughable.
Great point, all this anglo country corporate woke joke nonsense, their, "countries," bought into this jazz and that will be part of their downfall.

This company is constantly in a law suit somewhere with someone! Two most recent is the Carlsbad center and now company being sued for alleged spread pricing. It's hard to imagine how these companies stay in business when they are have to pay out huge settlements.

You are correct in that assumption. If you are hanging on because of the dream of getting a severance you may as well hang that one up. They will do anything and everything to prevent you from getting it.
Employment at will doctrine (unique to the US empire) means that US employees/Americans can be fired, let go, terminated any time, for any reason, or no reason. usa, usa-cesspool
