It's hard to stay motivated with all the things that have been happening lately. It's not just the layoffs, but that's certainly part of it. The culture shift, political plays, and the lack of career progression are among the main issues that are making it hard to find any motivation to do even my average, not to mention my best. I see productivity going down all around, so I know this is not just a "me" thing. How do people deal with this?

if unmotivated, just do a bunch of silent farts and when somebody notices, use the old "he who smelt it" and all that; there's a good chap!
Yes, please go get another job, if your demotivated that is on you, please leave so your wage can be freed up for someone who want to work.
Translation: It's perfect here. No problems at all. If there is a problem, it's obviously with you. Conform to being a disposable slave or perish.
just the usual churn of under-performing business units having to let their worst >contributors leave
What a LIE. Management's favorites are kept. Plenty of good people have been let go because management doesn't like them or they "cost too much." Only too late do they realize all the great work that person did (usually better than 4-5 overseas people) but they ignore facts and just hire some younger, cheaper, and far less competent. But hey, it makes the quarterly reports look good! YaY! gRaPh Go Up!
Don't worry about long-term effects; those who made the poor decisions will get their "much deserved" (LOL) golden parachutes. YaY cApItAlIsM!!

ps, there is no mass layoffs, no programme, just the usual churn of under-performing business units having to let their worst contributors leave.
Are there layoffs coming?
Get out. Lenovo is a toxic cesspool that only psychopaths and backstabbers thrive in. Save your mental health and go somewhere that will treat you better.
it could be a you thing. Do you work at a HQ? Lots of opportunities, maybe you need to figure out your next step.
