Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

If you try to find the negative in everything, you will find it

Reading these posts, is it a smear campaign by a competitor or a bitter employee.

Why not compare the good things. The market cap difference. Better to compare the total valuation decline over the last year. Total new logos. Better to compare the past 2 years vs the previous 2yrs under different leadership. The list goes on. Stock price. Cloud invest. Removal of dead weight.

I almost got a job at a top FAANG company, but didn't get the offer after 7 hours interviewing. Now I'm sad that I have to deal with these incompetent and toxic PMs a bit longer.

I’m just riding it out for the paycheck and benefits. I just have two more years and I’m gone. I’ll do just enough to get by and pick up that nice check. In two years, if the company is still around, I’ll be retired in Arizona!

Most of us here are current employees or ex-employees. I don’t think competitors have time and energy to come here and be salty, they are busy winning.
People come here only when their company is not doing good.

Nobody needs to be paid to tell the truth about this cr-p company. We’re happy to let everyone know how TD is swirling the drain.

Agreed, a lot of salty people and most haven't even worked at TD. If you believe half of what's posted on thelayoff across any company you'd think every company is the most evil in the world.

Most posts are paid using sweatshops out of a 3rd world country. It's really quite cheap to slag off a competitor

Yeah, the glass was rinsed too many times and broke.

Just like the value proposition has been rinsed by all the departing customers and employees.

Mr. Glass Half Full, Let me remind you that we are here to create shareholder value - 42% decrease in the stock price in the past seven months in not shareholder value – Grade F

Let's look at our report card, shall we?

Market share - Only growing 1% in a market growing in the high-teens, we are losing share and losing share of wallet in our enterprise accounts - Grade F

Innovation - $1B spent in R&D over the past three years, with zero innovation, and no cloud offering – Grade F

Churn – High customer churn or whatever MK term we use to hide this. It will be a matter of time until we have to disclose this number – Grade F

Sales team attrition – Over 40% of sales team attrition – Grade F

New logos – You can count on one, maybe two hands, junior new logo channel, and no trial capability, to name a few – Grade F

Strategy - $30M+ spent on MK with no, differentiated offering or strategy and with customer churn increasing, not decreasing – Grade F

Messaging – Count the # of virtual signal messages compared with new customer wins, innovations, or product releases. My customers have begun to notice this - Grade C

Funnel/Pipeline – If our pipeline is so healthy SM, why isn't it converting? Why do we hide our win rate? – Grade C may be an F

Employee Attrition – Great resignation aside, we have record employee attrition and low employee morale; why is our CHRO not being held accountable – Grade F

I have been at TDC for twelve years. I am loyal but equally frustrated; we cannot have an open dialogue or raise issues with our ELT or others as people who do magically disappear from the company when they do. So this is a forum for us to be able to speak freely. Yes, we have outliers on here, some disgruntled employees, but more often, they are like me, who are beyond frustrated.

Mr. Glass Half Full, I want to be a cheerleader, but it's hard when faced with the facts and widespread ineptitude.
