Top talent my a-s. Lazy coasting managers have zero talent! Everyone else needs to leave this sinking ship.

I don't think any body here is claiming to be "top talent".
If you think you’re “top talent” you wouldn’t be posting here. Top talent at what level? Supervisor, Anaylst or VP level?
K but seriously. Are there a ton of other companies with DB pensions and annual bonuses? I get recruiters calling, but no one’s offering better $$$ And there’s no great resignation in Canada- that’s all US.
"ENB'S once competitive salary and benefits have been outpaced by companies fighting for top talent. "
Top talent can absolutely do better elsewhere. But top talent is rare. And likely you are not among them.
The mediocre - the great majority - are unlikely to do better anywhere else.
Finally got my engineering license and all the work experience I needed. Actively looking for a new job outside O&G. Don’t want to build my career in a company like Enbridge and in an industry so hated.
'Leave now hypocrite'
When I clearly said that finding a new job can be stressful and disruptive. Keep an eye out for job that isn't actively destroying the world. This doesn't mean drop everything and go. I suggest you remain calm first and foremost.
Think about how ENB is in a dead end industry, and that your children's future depends on a change in the way we think about fossil fuels. Also, understand that this is a workers job market. ENB'S once competitive salary and benefits have been outpaced by companies fighting for top talent. Many opportunities exist to move to a more sustainable industry with better pay and better benefits.
Keep an eye out. The better opportunities are out there, ones that don't rely on environmental destruction for profit.
Infrastructure planning legends in their own minds. Usually people who beat their chests and brag are actually insecure and incompetent.
Most of Enbridge could leave for their greener pastures and the company would not skip a beat. Probably backfill for the sake of it but if not it would make zero difference. The only talent pool that has value to Enbridge is Infrastructure Planning. Losing even one of those legends would instantly affect the company's ability to move oil with the creative intelligence and project management expertise we are celebrated for.
So don't be a hypocrite and just leave!
ENB moves oil & gas the most efficient way possible with the least environmental risk.
Any other way of moving oil & gas has more risk!
Don't like fossil fuels, fine, don't use them! But don't stay with ENB if you really think the company is damaging the planet. If you do stay, then you are a hypocrite!
Now tobacco companies, those are evil, and when one reached out to me for a job, I refused the interview. See how that works?
Yes. Lots of jobs out there and salaries are skyrocketing. Don't get too excited. The govt will put an end to that by continually raising interest rates.
"'Thriving' and 'prosperous', LMAO look at this boomer drinking the capitalism coolaid."
Are you claiming these people don't exist? Or that they don't exist in Enbridge?
It's not coolaid. It's just reality. Lots of people are doing well.
'Thriving' and 'prosperous', LMAO look at this boomer drinking the capitalism coolaid.
Every human working for enbridge has a duty to the planet and the climate to be on the lookout for a new job that doesn't contribute to the active destruction of our world.
Sure, keep working here as you need to, finding a new job can be disruptive and stressful. But do not sit idly by, helping this dinosaur of a company profit off the destruction of our world. Look for opportunities to work for a business that doesn't revolve around fossil fuel. The jobs are out there, and the salaries are skyrocketing.
False Dichotomy. "Looking" and "complacent" are not the only possible states. I'd thrown in "Thriving" and "Prosperous". Although I guess one could argue they could be "complacent" for positive reasons. But I suspect you intended to imply that anybody not looking for an exit is somehow unaware of their circumstances.
