Is this round of layoffs going to affect people who are in HR? If yes, do you know how deep will the cut go? BTW, the cuts have started already.

Just contractors for now. I heard from a D1 that there will be a 5 to 6 percent cut in June… Take it with a grain of salt

HR at Meta is not doing recruiting directly, that's done by recruiters and they are contractors. So, with the hiring slowdown, I am expecting some of the contracted recruiters to be let go. On the other hand I think HR will be OK for now but come June and the big layoff that people are rumoring about, that's a different story. So, frankly, I do not know but things are pointing to June and cuts at HR as well.
