Washington State gave Boeing huge tax credits to stay in Washington state and they’ve been drawing down the employment numbers ever since. Just because a state offers you tax breaks that’s not enough incentive for Boeing to stay there.

More crime and corruption in DC than in Chicago. More likely being done for some misguided reason like when they moved to Chicago:

When Boeing came to Chicago in the early 2000’s it was just a tax incentive grab. Milk whatever you can out of a city for tax incentives and when you’re not happy, use any excuse to move on to the next city. Now the tax payers in the DC area will be on the hook for 20 years. Everyone has their opinions on individual welfare, but this corporate welfare of allowing corporations to rob one municipality after the next has to stop. Dedicated workers and local taxpayers are the ones that just get screwed over in the long run.
