I don't want to minimize what has happened to people who were affected by cuts, but if it had to happen then there was no better time for it. The job market is on fire, folks. People are getting sign-on bonuses in thousands, that’s how much companies are hurting for employees. Hy-Vee has not been a good place to work for a while now. Use this as an opportunity to improve your life. I know being laid off is a shock, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

It's the inhumane way they went about it. I have ZERO respect for their HR dept. They definitely need training...oh yeah I forgot they don't care about you.
This is so very true.PEOPLE ,THERE ARE MUCH BETTER JOBS OUT THERE THAN HYVEE,TAKE IT FROM ME,A THIRTY YEAR EMPLOYEE.THERE ARE MANY JOBS THAT PAY SO MUCH BETTER AND YOU DONT HAVE TO PUT UP WITH ALL THE CR-P THAT HYVEE GIVES YOU DAY IN AND DAY out.DONT BE AFRAID TO MOVE ON.U WILL BE GLAD U DID.I GUARANTEE IT.
