Lots of layoffs starting... tried to warn everyone. Good luck! When will y'all realize Cox doesn't give an F about any of you?

Dealer.com employees are getting laid off. A Senior manager told me that 2 years ago. If you find Autotrader teams are coworkers shadowing your team or your job description is to teach someone everything you know wake up your job is on the list. The will replace you with someone younger and make up a reason why it’s not age discrimination but it is. Can’t fight their huge team of lawyers unless you have lots of documentation.
I was laid off in Aug with three years until retirement. Few retire from Cox as everyone gets laid off eventually.
This was my third time being laid off. I have friends in sales who have been laid off but got rehired 4 times. It’s very stressful process to go through.
This year they created a separate billing code for “restructuring severance “ The budget is huge so watch out friends.
Their severance is one of the lowest out there and the non-compete covers all of cox enterprises and cox automotive competitors. There may be company’s you know nothing about but they sc--w you anyway.

Friends and colleagues,
Tomorrow is my last day with Cox Auto after 17yrs with the company. Unfortunately this was not a choice I made as the company eliminated my position and several others.
To all those I’ve interacted and worked with, thank you; as you made me better. I’m looking forward to whatever is next, either inside or outside the industry. Hope to be able to continue the great relationships I’ve made along the way.
I received an 10% increase last year and a 12% this year with a bonus bigger than last year. Don't know what your problem is , but they have been great to me!!!!
And folks need to stop putting all their eggs in one basket expecting a company to fulfill their social, spiritual, political, financial needs. That's why millennials are always just complaining about "me, me, me." "I want this, I want that, I need this $85 'vintage' shirt from a garage sale". Is bitter old man just a self-centered millennial, gosh that would explain everything. There are lots of people and professions out there to enjoy and learn from.
And bitter bro, if you are not getting the recognition or success you desire from ONE company, maybe you aren't in the right area of expertise. Maybe you are in the wrong industry. Maybe it really is just YOU bro. You have options. Find your talent, and it'll be easy to be successful and market yourself to others. I believe in you... Lol. Godspeed.
Bitter old man has no network, no person, and no company that sees his value as he wants to be seen. He is looking for validation. Dragging others down to make him feel better for not being recognized and not having enough money. Silly goose. There are support groups and other companies out in the world ya know? In reality, your one opinion isn't going to change anything or how others are succeeding. It's a tough battle bro, maybe you should find a more productive hobby or career
More money is more money. Im not poor. Salary has always been good. Ain't nothing wrong with getting more money to work at a place I love with people who are awesome, even outside the office. Bitter old man. Lol
You likely got whats called equity raises or leveling you up to your peers most likely. Which means you were highly underpaid compared to market value before then, the longer they can underpay you the better for them. They have to do it to keep employees. Don't think they wont pay you as little as they can away with . Trust me, they don't care about you whatsoever your 12-13% raises are pennies compared to the revenue increases they got from inflation, covid lay offs, and record car industry profits. glad your 12% makes you feel special, what you didn't know is how much you were underpaid. LOL. Just another one with a big C o x in your mouth.
Yea they don't care, I got a 13% increase this year, an 12% increase last year and a bouns. I am loving now they don't care
So have any been confirmed? I saw a couple of dealer sales people post something on LinkedIn. Might have been a very specific role only selling KBB?
This fool is going to come around every year like "layoffs!!! I told you" as if he is a wizard. Give us data, not useless emotional commentary of predictable yearly events
Yeah bro, ditto what the bro below said. Every company goes through layoffs each year and reorgs happen due to executive leadership change about every two years. It's nothing new. I worked at two prior companies with over 5k employees each. It's no different. Just give us the specifics... Actually you just need to figure out what products and services are going to be sunset over the next 12 months .. that will give you hints
Layoffs happen at every large company, yearly, bro. You're not helpful unless you actually have specific details.
if you have numbers, departments provide more info, instead of the usual rant that Cox doesn't care, we know that part.
