Retention Efforts - Stop insulting our intelligence

Evidently they are "working on" retention efforts... in fact a meeting is scheduled this very afternoon... Nice side step! Do you think we're that d-mb - there are no retention efforts. We are absolutely hemorrhaging talent like never before. A watered down one year RSU that came a month late is not an effort but a charity F*ck. Many didn't even receive these last ditch RSU's - as evidence of people asking when they are coming... guess what, you didn't get them and they still won't tell you you're not getting them. Anyone that received them is likely scheduling their on-sites and will be long gone before they vest next year. I have absolutely no faith that our Total Comp is going to be decimated. You think we are going to get our bonus next year with this sh!t show? Not a chance. We'll finish out any unvested RSU's and I wouldn't be surprised if they cut pay at this rate - there is just no trust based on their actions. Stop say you're working on it when it's obvious you're not. We're not d-mb.

I do not work in any of those departments. I work on some core provisioning technologies which our Sr VP keeps telling us is critical to the success of the company's present and future. He keeps telling us how our product line represents $2B of the companies revenues. Yet when raise and RSU time came around, there were none of either.

So no one is saying our department is going to be reduced. Its just common sense if they do not value us enough to give raises or RSUs (which they have always done in the past) the future for the department does not look bright.

Which additional departments are in danger? They already broadcasted UEM, SDWAN, etc. Are there more product areas that haven't been mentioned already? Or is this just redundant central departments like HR/Finance after merger?

Not to mention there are engineering departments that received no raise and no RSUs. I know because I am in one of those engineering departments. I have always received glowing reviews with appropriate, if not generous, raises and RSUs. For me that means the writing is on the wall and my department, or a large portion of it, will be laid off once acquisition is complete.

As you say, there is no effort to retain talent.
