HyVee just had the biggest surge of record sales. Covid caused a huge surge of cash for grocery stores. All the restaurants were close so the only food source was grocery stores. Somehow Randy thought that the increase of sales would be forever and he could spend money and expand HyVee. Well guess what, Randy was wrong again. Randy is the the type of guy that if he won the lottery he would still go bankrupt. The best part is he would blame everyone around for his bankruptcy. HyVee employees will suffer because of Randy’s poor leadership. Has anyone else heard Randy is suffering from dementia. If that’s the case he truly needs to step down. The board needs to have Randy checked out if it is really true he has dementia.

People like this 18 year hyvee veteran are the problem. Im also a higher up corporate position and we are an absolute sh-t show. We treat people in stores like a-s, and yes Randy is the problem. Keep your blinders on sheep. Funny thing is, when sh-t keeps going bad ad you defend Randy, he would lose zero sleep cutting your position over night. Be careful who you think has your back, I guarantee no one in the executive suite gives 2 fu--s about you, similar to how you feel about your hourly employees.
Pretty sure I read that as a sarcastic approach to the recent ups and downs we've been going through. I laughed at the post - at the dementia part, the rest is spot on. I don't understand "record year", expansions, hiring flex workers at $4 over what the people training them is all about. Then suddenly start shaving hours to the point that the only people left in the store working (often while managers are in their offices) are doing the work of 2-3 people and expected to get it done. For Mr. or Ms. "18 year veteran in a higher up position" your dedication to corporate is admirable but falls short of what is going on out on the floor. WE are the people who make your paycheck possible - you all should really think about respect and recognition where it is due. Why not take care of the current employees? Why not pay them a dollar or two more, make more people full time and keep good employees instead of pi----g them off and spending money like it grows on trees? We all knew online shopping would be a money loser but off we went anyway. Now we all pay the price for that and Randy's love of racing, spending $$$$ on music for commercials. I recently read another review that stated "if you were the best place to work in America, you wouldn't have to advertise it, your employees would let people know". True statement.
Well congrats on making 18 years at a wonderful company. I’m guessing being an 18 year veteran at HyVee Randy runs all of his health concerns with you. I could ask you the same question you asked me. I don’t think your qualified on this medical information. I highly don’t that Randy would ever saying anything to you about his health. Well good luck with the next round of layoffs. Hope you see your 19th year before he fires you or bankrupt the company.
Randy has dementia? Interesting...where is your information coming from? Are you a physician or psychologist? Are you intimately involved in his personal medical affairs in order to know this? My guess is no and you're a disgruntled slanderer who has nothing better to do than spew nonsense on an internet blog. I hope you respond to me but I doubt it. I'm an 18 year veteran of Hy-Vee in a higher up position by the way so if you try to lie about the company good luck fooling me bro. 👍
No, Randy is who he always was. He no longer has to hold his tongue or put on a front to get ahead, because he has reached the top. A couple sayings come to mind: Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Also ... Adversity doesn't build character, it reveals it. You saw his true character in that video. It wasn't a poor choice of words -- it was the character of a person who does not expect to be challenged or questioned, EVER.
