Thread regarding Commscope Inc. layoffs

A year later

I doubt very much that there is anyone who was laid off last year but who is not happy now that he or she was laid off back then. Is there anyone like that? I was afraid of being cut at the time but it turns out that year later I am still in the same place and the colleagues who were laid off have found jobs in other companies, most have higher incomes and some of them have already been promoted.

It’s been a year for me, I was Sr. Director level making about $225k (not including equity that’s since lost 66% 🤮 in the last year) and am making about $450k at my new employer in cash plus 4xs the equity I received at CommScope (stock that has remained flat but expect will increase over the beating schedule). Doing taxes this year sucked cause I owed so much more 😂 and that is literally the only bad thing I can say. Leave! Employers are making it rain. $450 is the new $225.

I was laid off in July 2020. I found a new job promptly, banked the severance, and make more now and work 3/4 of what I did at Commscope. Work like balance is not lip service and highly encouraged. It’s been difficult to adjust after years at Commscope but my family likes it.
