BBBY executives and field personnel have lost there focus on what is truly important. Take care of your customers, both external and internal, make a sale and create some positive revenue.

I think your conversion is down because your banners were not hung correctly. Sears, Kmart, Toys R Us, Linens n Things all had issues with incorrectly hung banners and look what happened, This is the number one reason people give for not making a purchase.

we have a lot of similar issues. the only thing saving us isn’t a good thing, we have a skeleton crew staff with the keys basically doing everything outside of fulfillment/receiving/damages, but business is so slow that it doesn’t even really matter. we’re still getting in late winter seasonal stuff, and are getting BTC product early that we can’t put out until july, but can’t get in half of our summer seasonal that is supposed to be set. then when the DM comes in and complains about the holes, and we explain we have no seasonal and we don’t have anything to flex, it goes right over their head and act like they weren’t just chewing everyone out. and on the rare occassion we DO have a lot of something that fills holes and sells, it all gets shipped out for fulfillment within a week

It's because the culture at BBBY is about smoke and mirrors. Illusions and plain lies. They lie to their associates and they lie to their customers.

For whatever reason my store has had 5 visits within a 4 month span. WHY? Just what the hel@ is going on? Management claims that they don't know why. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I know there's been zero talk of a remodel yet we're harassed by all of these visits. This last visit which occured this week resulted in a 50% score. A 2 out of 4! And we were docked for stupid sh#t like the way banners were hanging?? What??! Ok, whatever. But also for the holes on the shelves. So I was told by my store manager to spend the day in basics filling the holes with whatever we had that makes sense. It doesn't matter if the item is in 8 different places, fill the holes with it. Ugh. So we get rid of national brands and our assortment and fill holes with cr-p that doesn't sell to begin with! Let's try to fool (but really lie to) the customers into thinking that we're giving them choices and the shelves are full of assorted products.

Then we have the staff issues. My store has zero morning cashiers and what little staff we do have call out consistently. We recently lost 2 more people due to lack of hours when they have bills to pay. But here management is lying to us and telling us thst this sh#t is normal. That this happens every year after the holiday season. Problem is I've worked for the company for a while and while yes, it is normal for hours to be reduced it has NEVER been this drastic. No. It's just more lies. They can't keep people due to reduced scheduled work hours and we haven't hired anyone new who has applied more than likely to low hours and laughable pay rate. Which brings me to another lie! Was told we'd be receiving a significant pay raise soon.
Manager said it would be dollars. At the time I was told we'd see it within the next 2-3 weeks. That was months ago and the only raise anyone has received is the normal 30¢ after employee reviews. Pathetic. I am convinced that he told me that lie to keep me from quitting because we were losing people left and right at the time.

Sh#t isn't going to change. We can't do anything about conversion if people don't want what we're selling. Management lies and says the slower foot traffic is normal too. Uh, just what the hel@ are they seeing? This is the lowest of the low. Are they truly convinced of the lies they tell? Can they really be this disconnected? Pay is terrible, morale is low and we have no real assortment of product.

I work with some great people. But it's freaking insulting as hel@ to find out that I could be making more an hour working at Cold Stone! I want to quit but also don't want to quit. Know what I mean? But I am looking for something else because things aren't looking good at all.

i think the same thing everytime i see pictures touting the remodels, lol; doesn't make much of a difference if there's no shoppers there to see it
