Step 1 begins with you putting forth the effort to look and not just look but look beyond the financial sector. A technical person at Citi can still be a technical person at another company. An auditor\sales\marketing\project manager etc….can perform the same function at another company in another sector. The bottom line is if you are not happy then start your journey toward another pasture. Will it be greener? Who knows? Maybe it will, maybe it won’t but you’ll never know if you don’t make the effort. If you don’t then you are guaranteed the status quo where you are.
