Is it true that the managers have been directed to be extra active on LinkedIn for sharing, liking globalfoundries related posts for attracting new hires?

Cause GF compensation package sucks … no RSUs for new hires … therefore mgrs are active on LinkedIn …. If compensation packages are so good , you dun need to “promote” on LinkedIn …. Potential candidates will be queuing up for jobs …
Posting now as it's ncg season
Seeing a lot more job posts on LinkedIn from GF in last few days. Are the wheels starting to fall off?? While we all know internally that we need more people, why isn’t it discussed more openly? It’s only spoken about in secret and management barely touched on it group meetings? What is up with that? There is so sense of urgency, but we all feel it.
Are they telling the NCGs to put those posts?
I'm glad they're trying different things to attract new talent, but I really wanted to comment on how cringey the thank you posts to recruiters and hiring managers from NCGs are
*** Some advice
- EVERYONE should have a LinkedIn account. This is the easiest way to get job offers and find out what you are worth. Even the most basic LinkedIn account will get noticed by recruiters.
- Like and comment on the GF current postings f you find them helpful.
- ALL women should join GlobalWomen, it is a fast track to better raise and promotions.
True , true and true.
Also, look at the people who do a lot of sucking up on LinkedIn posts by commenting/liking posts. They are the same people on GFCurrent who ride the coat tails of any higher-up posts by posting the most ridiculous boot-licking comments.
At the end of the day, these people are probably smart, because of their actions, they become more visible, leading to promotions, not because of talent, but because they simply appear to engage. Shouldn’t work that way.
I agree GF overall in terms of everywhere has bad reputation. People in general don’t know and just ignore it.
I have noticed this too. Way more active then anyone else in industry. I see easily triple the amount of posts from GF when compared to others. I think they are getting desperate for bodies to fill the positions. Lots of people have left or are leaving. I think word is out to prospects and industry as a whole that GF is terrible place to work or if you want any logical career growth. It’s a dead end. I see some new hires post too that they are joining and I so badly want to comment with a #GetOut meme (from the movie)
