Anyone else have a psycho manger making you work over nights to do online order fulfillments? I wonder what these wonderful customers of ours think when they get their BOPS email telling them it’s ready for pick up at 2 am in the morning! Also, what’s with the random orders of one bowl, one cup, one pair of socks. Just a bunch of stupid stuff. Come in and shop yourself for your cheap Chinese junk!

It won't surprise me if Macy's start doing overnight shifts to all the stores this holiday season. This company is always full of surprises.
So if fulfillment is going to be all day, picks, packing and Bops, I'm guessing eventually Macy's will start doing overnight shifts to all the stores. Several stores are already doing it. Look at what happen to the 52 stores that started the Innovation Selling Program last year, all the stores will start doing it this June.
It’s happening because we have a team that works the overnight shift. And yes it’s considered “optional” on paper, but it is understood that you will take the shift.
Larger stores have large order numbers. Thus fulfillment gets completed overnight during the holiday season or in the highest volume stores each day.
In the bigger stores in cities, there are overnights. In my store, we even have an overnight team and during the holidays also and then any time it is busy, they ask the regular day time colleagues if we want to do overnight shifts to help out with rods or anything that is needed including fulfillment. It is optional in my store, though. They cannot force you to work overnight.
There's overnights?! But yeah. We get those random orders too..
Work overnight how is this happening? Store closes by a certain time are you saying you’re staying later than that to process orders? Please elaborate on your situation.
